I CASEd the layout from Jennifer's card which was of course much better. I really liked how she took the ends of her thread and taped them on the back of the paper. The class is full of these cool little details.

And then I made a card inspired by the first video on Day 4 by Yana Smakula. I love her card but didn't have any of her supplies. I was disappointed at first because it didn't work so well but then I made a card and really liked it... until I saw it on the screen. Does that ever happen to you? Anyways, here it is:

In real life the rays are lighter.

Both your cards are lovely,Susanne, with their unique designs and pretty colours! Your second card is a shimmery sun-ray delight; and way to go with the innovation in adapting what you had to reflect your learning! I'm applauding your results, especially since you're far more adventurous than I am! Such prettiness! Glad to hear embossing paste isn't passe...maybe I should get another stencil though and try the inking approach (then again, I'd wind up with a mess...and that tub of polyfilla does need attention...). Very pretty cards. I often am disappointed with watercolor because the paper I have was cheap and is very rough in texture. I'd not heard that Tim has some out. Must try that.
Again, excellent art work, Susanne! I love them both!! I know what you mean about sometimes the card looks NOT like it does in real life and how the ways that it looks different can be different, too. Now I get A+ for that sentence, but I think you prolly got it, right?! Hugs, Darnell

Ich habe schon Stempelentzugserscheinungen, weil ich in den letzten Tagen dazu keine Zeit hatte :-(
