Fusion #4 Sketch - Take 2

I am back with another card using the sketch of the current Fusion Challenge (I told you I had more ideas...)

And this is the card I made (yes, another kraft cardstock but it was still on my desk and worked so well with the patterned paper)

I could make (and probably will) a lot more cards with this versatile sketch but time is running out to enter in the challenge...

Thanks for stopping by,

Susanne

Stamps: Hero Arts (little feet - very old, sentiment CL414)
Other: Wooden stars ( Studio Calico), Patterned Paper (unknown)

Butterfly Challenge - Take 2

I have another card for the Butterfly Challenge #1 that will end soon. The theme is butterflies and flowers. My card today features only one butterfly but lots of little flowers.

Here is a close up so that you can see (well not really) the sparkle on the butterfly thanks to the Wink of Stella pen. And the patterned paper glitters as well... Oh, and the butterfly has two layers, one vellum, solid, the other blue, outlined.

Wishing you a wonderful week,

Susanne

Stamps: unknown greeting
Dies: Memory box (Kaleidoscope and Moonlight butterflies)
Other: Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots embossing folder)

SSS Wednesday Challenge/Fusion Challenge

I wanted to make an Anniversary card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Wedding/Anniversary but couldn't think of anything until I saw the sketch at the Fusion Challenge #4 again and then ideas for all kinds of occasions started coming. Normally I forget that I have lots of patterned paper. When I was looking through a 6x6 pad and saw those owls I just had to use them.

I punched out the tiny heart between them and drew those thought bubbles. After I took the picture I covered the small heart with Glossy Accents but it's too dark now to take another picture.

ETA: This card earned an Honorable Mention at the Fusion Challenge!

And here is the sketch that I used:

It's my first time playing in the Fusion Challenge and I used only the sketch but who knows maybe next time I will combine the sketch with the inspiration picture!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Thank you for checking out my card and leaving a comment!

Butterfly Challenge

Hello dear visitors,

There is a new challenge that gives those of us in snow covered areas glimpses of spring and summer: The Butterfly Challenge created by Mrs. A. For the first challenge she would like to see butterflies with flowers. I hope a photograph of a flower will be accepted because that is what I have today. For all the rules and beautiful inspirations click on the link. You still have six days to play in case you are inspired...

I used a Martha Stewart punch (probably my favorite one) for the greeting. Do you see the pearl in the star? The blue butterflies are cut out from a piece that I colored with metallic gelatos (oh, that means I can send it over to Pixie's Snippet's Playground, too).

And now I have the pleasure to welcome a new follower:
Not only does she create wonderful CAS cards and is the creator of the popular CAS-ology challenge but she is also a very talented photographer and regularly shares tips about how to take better photos over at the Sweet Stamp Shop! I feel very honored that she follows my little blog!

The welcoming quote for Melissa is by George Lois

Creativity can solve almost any problem.
The creative act, the defeat of habit by originality, overcomes everything.

Make the best of your day and know that you made mine by coming over to look and maybe even leave a comment...

Susanne

Punches: Martha Stewart (Happy Birthday), All Night Media (butterfly corner), McGill (large butterly), Marvy (small butterfly)
Other: Faber Castell (Metallic Gel Sticks)

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - kraft

I love kraft cardstock and don't use it enough so I really wanted to play in this weeks Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where they want us to get krafty. I also wanted to use up those two heart shaped doilies that I have had forever. This is the result:

The other doily is silver:

The background I made with a stencil and gesso (because I still don't have any embossing paste). This card is not for any challenge.

What have you been creating lately?

Thank you so much for stopping by and know that you kind comments make me very happy!

"Less is More" turns 3...

... and celebrates with a rainbow theme. Rainbow colors make me happy, so I just had to play along.

And a close up so you can see the stickle dots:

I have another idea for this challenge... I might be back if I find the time to realize this idea (and like it). Hop over to the "Less is More" blog and look at all the rainbow goodness!

"Less is More"

Happy Birthday "Less is More" and many more...!

What colors make you happy?

Be well,
Susanne

Another Valentine's card plus Buildings 4

"Anything goes with twine or string" at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge this week! You still have over two days to play in case you are inspired to use a piece of twine or string on your project! Here is mine:

And since I used snippets it also get's to play at Pixie's Snippets Playground

The woven piece behind the heart cutout I made a while ago when I had many red strips left over from a project. Of course, I couldn't throw them away! Stamped some of them and did a little paper weaving!  Hope, you like it!

Also wanted to share another card using buildings (since it's been a while). Made this a few months ago for a dear friend and promptly forgot to take a picture before I mailed it. She was kind enough to photograph it for me:

The cloud is embossed with swirls and the speech bubbles has stickles around the edge.

I always appreciate your visits and kind comments!

Be well,
Susanne
