Seize the Birthday

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that my blog might become even more quiet in the next few weeks. It's not due to lack of mojo but I cut the tendon and nerve in my left thumb and will be operated tomorrow. One handed crafting is no fun and typing with one finger is just too slow so even my commenting will suffer!

Didn't want to leave you without a card:

Stamps: Hero Arts (sentiment)
Dies: SSS (feathers)

Made the backgrounds with Gelatos. It was for a friend who liked this card so much.

I'll enter it at Seize the Birthday "Make your own background"

and Virginia's View "Layers and Dimensions"

Please know that I will still admire your beautiful creations even if you don't hear from me..

Be well,
Susanne

Happy Birthday, Cornelia!!!

Today I am here to wish Cornelia from "Stempel Spass" a very happy birthday! You probably all know her already and enjoy visiting her blog but if you haven't you absolutely should! Her gorgeous cards are sometimes graphic and modern, sometimes hilarious, sometimes show an awesome technique and she is on several design teams! While checking out her creations why don't you wish her a happy birthday?

Here is the card I made for her (should have arrived yesterday...)

Stamps: PTI (sentiment)
Dies: PTI (birthday)
Other: TCW (Microbial stencil), Viva (silver embossing paste), washi tape

Cornelia works a lot with stencils so I wanted to use one on her card. This one is new to me. I also hadn't used the silver embossing paste and the washi tapes!

ETA: This card won birthday honours at Seize the Birthday!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Your visits and comments are so appreciated and if you have a question let me know (see top bar)!

Mother's Day for Happy Little Stamper Sketch

When I saw the sketch for April at Happy Little Stamper I was attracted to the rainbow stripe but then went a different route (besides there are already several gorgeous rainbow cards in the gallery - check them out). Here is my card:

keepintouchcards.blogspot.com

Stamps: Autumn Leaves (flowers), Avery Elle (sentiment)
Die: MFT Dienamics (mom)

The MOM is cut out from a nice shade of burgundy that works well with the red ink but looks brownish on my screen.

That's it from me for today! Need to go to bed and get my beauty rest...

Enjoy your weekend,
Susanne

I am very pleased to be able to warmly welcome two new followers:

Sarah from "Sazzle Dazzle  Crafts". Her blog is full of wonderful and inspiring CAS cards!

Becca from "The Damsel of Distressed". She has a fun, artsy, multimedia style that I am only dreaming about!

I hope you take some time to visit their blogs! I know you will not regret it!

Here is my welcome quote for you (by Abraham Maslow):

In any given moment we have two options:
To step forward into growth
or to step back into safety.

All of you who follow by email please know that I also appreciate you very much. I just can't welcome you by name as I cannot see who you are!
Everyone of you who stops by (regularly or just once) makes my day!

Have a great start of the week,
Susanne

Happy Easter!

Just quickly popping in to wish you all a very happy and joyful Easter!

keepintouchcards.blogspot.com

Stamp: Inkadinkado (eggs)
Die: Cottage Cutz (bunny)
Other: Martha Stewart (corner and border punch), Cuttlebug (Swiss dots EF)

This card came about because I really wanted to use the MS punches that I've had for years! I colored the borders with pastel chalks which I haven't used in a long time either!

Sending this to the City Crafter Challenge Blog where the theme for week 255 is "Polka Dots" and where the funny, kind, and famous Darnell is the special Guest Star!
This is the polka dot inspiration picture:

And to the Virginia's View Challenge #14 "Layers and Dimensions" since this cards features layers and the bunny is very dimensional!

Hope you find lots of good chocolate in your Easter baskets or whatever your heart desires!

Hugs,
Susanne
