Yesterday I made a card using only NBUS! Don't think that has ever happened before! Didn't plan it that way, though... When I saw the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch I immediately thought of the new-to-me stencil from SSS which I sponged with SSS ink in Smoke. Then I didn't know what to do. I had another distress inked background from the card in my last post and thought it looked good on the grey stripes. But what to put on it? Looking around I came across those beautiful butterflies from PTI that had yet to be used, found some fine silver glitter paper from Recollections and everything came together. I am quite happy with the result if I may say so!
Stamp: Altenew (sentiment)
Die: PTI (butterfly)

Beautiful! Wonderful take on the sketch!
How lovely, Susanne ... the colour co-ordination of the background stripes with the shimmery butterfly is so striking ... and what a gorgeous watercolour panel! Anita :)

Love how this came together with all NBUS, Susanne! That watercolored panel is so perfect against the gray stripes. And I'm guessing that Carol is going to love your butterfly, lol!! Sweet card. Hope all is well with you. Bev
From retro to new stuff, you like to mix it up. Both cards have beautiful backgrounds setting off the images.
Oh this so beautiful Susanne! Look at that fabulous watercolor bg!
Thanks for joining us at CAS(E) this sketch!
rundum tolle Karte!
OMGorgeous! Your 'how-this-came-to-be' was such fun to read, as that's often what I do...create a 'something' that I stare at for a while, add another something, then another and, all the while, hope it morphs into a finished creation that 'works'. Alas, that part often doesn't pan out (chubby recycle bin of late, as I've been feeding him quite a bit!), but in your case: WOW! The stenciled background, the water-coloured panel and the BUTTERFLY! Oh yes, yes and yes! Marvelous, my friend...absolutely marvelous!
Hugs~c
Lovely card, love the stencilling and the distress ink background! Beautiful butterfly too!

Toll dieser Kontrast!! Die grauen Streifen passen super zum kräftigen Violett und der Schmetterling kommt richtig gut zur Geltung!

Sehr edel - diese grauen Streifen und dann der wunderschoene Schmetterling! Einfach super!
