How FABULOUS to see your Chinese New Year Card, Suzanne! I love the use of that row of ram/sheep. The gold embossing really shows off beautifully! (note: the Ancient Script is Japanese, not Chinese). We celebrate Chinese New Year by eating festive food and spend time with family...the kids love getting their red envelopes (aka $)! Danke!
My bad....Susanne (I typed z instead! Sorry!).
Ach wie nett - Schafe - nateurlich kann am die auch benuetzen. Ich dachte erst man braucht eine Ziege (hab keine) aber dann hoerte ich heute das es auch ein ram sein kann! Sehr asiatisch!
This is so cool!! I love the colors you used and the gold. My daughter made a Chinese New Year card today at school in her Chinese class. (She is a freshman in HS and this is her third year of taking Mandarin.) Hers was an origami heart. I am loving this fun card!!
You've certainly managed to capture the oriental look with this one Susanne! A terrific design! Hazel xx
Wonderful Chinese New Year's celebration card for your friend! The paper panels are lovely, and the row of sheep...fabulous! Guaranteed to bring a mega-smile to your friend's face, as it has to mine - and my mom's (I'm here with her until tomorrow...she's looking over my shoulder).
Hugs~c
Oh wow, this is my year...good to know that. Take every opportunity to make a fun card.
Lovely card, Susanne. My son was lucky enough to live in China for 5 years (well, Inner Mongolia...). He'd be delighted by your card! I know I am. What perfect colors. Great design too. I really like this one!! Have a great weekend. Bev
