Winnie & Walter / Colour Me #40

This card I started on World Cardmaking Day but wasn't able to finish it that day. Did you know that the folks over at Winnie & Walter keep their WCMD challenges open until next Saturday? And you don't even have to use any of their products to play. Since I recently ordered some of their awesome sentiment sets (after months and months of drooling over all the fun samples in blogland) I wanted to use them for the first time and what better day to do that than WCMD!

Stamps: Winnie & Walter (The Big, the Bold, and You)

I was inspired by Gayatri's Color Challenge on the Winnie & Walter blog (check out their other WMCD challenges, too)

and by the Colour Me #40 Challenge "Monochromatic"

ETA: Ooops, the challenges has already closed!

Hope you all have a fabulous week with lots of time for crafting!

Hugs,
Susanne

Hi Susanne, have just popped over from Anita's blog. I totally recognised your cards but don't think I've visited before, so thought I better do it straight away!! Looking forward to your 'Getting to know you' piece in a few weeks. I haven't finished mine yet, I'm aiming for this Monday but I'm a 'last minute' worker, so have a few days up my sleeve. Isn't it fantastic that W&W have their challenges still open?? I'm hoping to enter a few more this week. I don't have of their stamps but found out on Monday I won a free set, so will go shopping tonight to get them on their way here (I'm in New Zealand). I absolutely love the card you've made, especially the background effect with the words. And the gold down the side finishes it off perfectly. I'm signing up to follow your blog by email now so I don't miss anymore of your lovely creations. Sorry about the long comment....I'm a bit of a talker....

Ooh la la..this is a delicate beauty, Susanne! The gold/blush/pink are an eye-catching combination, and you've worked magic with it and your new W&W stamps. Gorgeous....
