Pink Balloons with Gold Glitter

My blogging friend Gundi from papierelle has a challenge at the moment with a balloon theme. That motivated me to dig out my balloon dies that I don't use often enough (but then again what DO I use often enough...?).

Stamps: Sentiment (CAS-ual Fridays), Background (unmounted, unknown)
Dies: Balloons (SSS)

I sponged a glossy scrap of paper with different shades of pink and a light lavender, cut out the balloons, dipped the upper half in Versamark, and heat embossed that part with gold glitter embossing powder. Embossed the sentiment with the same EP on a strip of grey. You can see the glitter a little better in the second picture. The sparkle was hard to capture. The background was stamped with one of my old, unmounted background stamps (this one is marble), that I used to buy when I went to Rubber Stamp Conventions many years ago. It could be from Stamp Camp or Stamp Out Cute, but unfortunately these companies don't exist anymore.

Wie schön!!!!Gold und pink ist immer super und der schlichte Hintergrund passt so gut dazu. Ich hab auch ne Karte gemacht, aber mir ist nichts Gescheites eingefallen.....habe im Moment überhaupt keine Ideen...

Oh I love this one, Susanne!!! (btw, if I ever spell your name with a "z," please forgive me; we have a cousin Suzanne...) That marble background is gorgeous, and I thought it was some patterned paper! Awesome!! And those sweet balloons...They look fabulous all dressed up in glitter just ready for a party. Quelle beauté ! J'adore ! Bravo !
Bises et bon dimanche !

Your pink/lavendar-and-gold balloons are incredibly pretty, floating over that amazing marbled background! Pink, gold and grey is a wonderful combination and you've elevated it to gorgeous with the different technique you've used with each! Happy sighs...

What a genius idea to just add a little glittery gold to the balloons to pizzazzle them up a notch! Pinning this one! You could even do it with other colors of e/p - really, you're a genius, Susanne!! I like the marble background choice, too! Happy Sunday!! Hugs, Darnell

Had to chuckle at your comment about using our schtuff! Ain't that the truth! Brilliant idea with these gorgeous balloons. The gold embossing really jazzed up the pretty pink, and what a lovely CAS card you've created.Love the crackled background too. Thanks for the organizing tips. A friend started doing the book organizing when she first got into the hobby. Numbered the storage sites so she could indicate in her book & know exactly where an image was, and she also itemized purchase year, cost, etc. If I'd known to do that before I got very many products, it would be doable. Doubt it is remotely possible at this stage! I'm glad you're doing that, and I can see where it would save 'hunting' time, and ALSO encourage you to use all your products on a regular basis. TFS & Hugs
