Today I have two cards for you featuring two different techniques. The first one has a strip of Yupo paper (sort of like a sheet of thin plastic) and alcohol inks. In the close up you might be able to see a bit of gold there, too. It's very fascinating to watch how drops of alcohol inks react on Yupo paper. If you haven't tried it you should definitely put it on your list of techniques to try!
Stamps: My Favorite Things (sentiment)
Die: My Favorite Things (happy)
On the second card I played with watercolors on watercolor paper sprinkled with salt. The salt sucks up the color and creates an interesting pattern. I die cut the hearts and the word love from the sheet I created. The close up is supposed to show you the Wink of Stella sparkle that is so hard to capture on a photo!
Stamps: PTI (sentiment)
Dies: PTI (love), Sweet 'n' Sassy (hearts, SSS (stitched frame)

Two BEAUTIFUL cards, Susanne!! LOVE your alcohol ink backing through the Thank You die-cut card front. The colours are so bright, beautiful and happy. Love the design. And your salted hearts and sentiment for the second card turned out amazing! Love the design (again!) and the wink of stella shows the sparkle. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour! xx
Gorgeous CAS designs for our CAS Mix UP and CAS Watercolour Challenges. So pleased you played in both our challenges, Susanne. I love your alcohol ink drops on Yupo behind your die cut Happy on your 1st card. Your 2nd card is so filled with textures and love. Wonderful CAS design. TFS Hugs..
Love :) both of them. your salt die cuts are so pretty against the white of the card and the wink of stella really makes them sparkle. your AI card really pops against the white of the letters great bold colours. Thanks for joining us at CAS Watercolour :)
Super schöne Effekte!! Bei der ersten Karte gefällt mir ganz besonders, das Du es als Hintergrund verwendet hast!!
. . . and two beauties Susanne! Love both of them! The AI one is so vibrant and the 'salt technique' pieces have such fascinating patterns! Have a great day! Luv & Hugs. Hazel xx

Katrin
Wonderful job with the techniques, Susanne! A friend gave me a sample of Yupo & I need to give it a try--love your first card! Great effect with the salt, too--need to try it with watercolors as a long time ago I got nothing, but I'm sure I didn't use watercolors back then.
I LOVE both cards, Susanne! The bright AI colors peeking through the the die-cut sentiment is such a great visual interest. The coordinating embellishments are a nice finishing touch. The colors and the effect of the salt card is so lovely, and the design is fabulous! And again, the Wink of Stella is a nice touch, too. Hideko :-)
WOW! Susanne you have outdone yourself! I love the bright, vibrant colors of your alcohol ink background and the die is so perfect to keep the card CAS! And your hearts with the love die cut are so sweet! Love the colors and the stitched edges! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix Up!
These are both beautiful and winners to me, Susanne! I have had Yupo paper for a couple of years w/o using it. So when the AI challenge opened, I went to finally use my Yupo paper and AI ... except that I did a major purge this past spring and now I can't find it, lol! Oy, don't ever get old!! I'm pinning these gorgeous designs to CASE when I do! Hugs, Darnell
Alle beide sind großartig!!! Wunderschön gestaltet 💕
Liebe Grüße
Christine
Two really lovely cards Susanne...I love the results of the salt and your sweet heart card...well done mf.
Thanks so much for playing along with the CAS Watercolour Challenge.
xx Karen
What an awesome sense of depth on that yupo paper, Susanne ... those AI's seem to deepen as I look at them! Those shimmery salted hearts and sentiment are delicious ... cool and so very pretty! Hugs, Anita :)
What beautiful cards!! Love those hearts and the design... Thanks so much for playing along at CAS Watercolours challenge!
Two beautiful designs Susanne! I love that hello block die over the bright mix of AI's and the salted card is lovely with the hearts and word die! thanks for joining us in the CAS Mix Up Challenge! Julia xx
Two techniques for two gorgeous cards, Susanne ! Love both of them ! I've been seing recently a lot of cards made with this Yupo paper and I really love the results ! I've tried the salt technique but I think my salt was to big and I didn't manage to achieve such a beautiful result as yours ! Love the colours you chose for your cards and as usual, two fantastic designs ! Thanks for sharing and for inspiring !
Alcohol inks - immer toll!
Both these cards are gorgeous! Oh those alcohol inks are so rich. Every time I see them used, I vow to play with mine, but never seem to get around to it!
