I LOVE making backgrounds. Almost more than making cards. There, I said it. There are so many decisions involved when you make a card...
Anyway, the marbling technique with shaving cream is quite easy and tons of fun. A couple of weeks ago I made a card to enter at the current CAS Mix Up but when it was all finished I realized there was no stamping on it! Might not have been CAS enough anyway. I'll show it to you some other time. A couple of days ago I made another card with stamping.
Stamp: Sentiment (Verses Rubber Stamps)
Die: Avery Elle (stitched scalloped border)
Just used a strip of marbled paper to keep it CAS. The yellow dots are made with nail polish. Read about this months ago somewhere on this world wide web. You make them on a craft sheet and after they are completely dry you adhere them to the card with a drop of glue.
By the way, the colors of the background piece and the border are a little different in real life (nicer) but no amount of editing would change them.

Love your card. The nail polish dots sound like a great idea. I have just been making some marbled sheets using shaving foam too. It's very addictive and the paper smells wonderful and has a super texture. Hugs Mrs A.
This is so pretty Susanne. LOVE your marbled piece ... lovely combination of colours. And those nail polish dots --- so clever! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
Love your CAS design for your beautiful marbled piece Susanne. TFS and joining us at CAS Mix Up. Hugs, Nancy
LG Gundi
PS: Gestern kam Hibbelpost!!!!!
I love your card and the marbling is beautiful. I must try that technique out.
What a beautiful marbled piece. I love that sentiment. Makes for such a positive card in total.
What an incredibly lovely marble effect you've created! You've showcased it beautifully with the sweet sentiment and nail-polish dots! Love this!

What a beautiful piece of marbling! Your strip makes a perfect CAS card with just a sentiment and a bit of embellishment. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up.

I don't think these colors could be any better, Susanne! I love how you've accented the yellow with the little scalloped border! And that sentiment is wonderful! Such an uplifting card! Thanks so much for sharing it with us at CAS Mix Up!

Wow, Susanne, that marbled panel is gorgeous ... there's so much movement and fluidity about it ... perfect with all that glorious white space! Hugs, Anita :)
Scrumptious marbling colors, Susanne! And I love that sediment and your pretty CASlicious paneled design!! Great idea about the fingernail polish! Wish I'd known that before I bought (cough) dollars worth of enamel dots, lol! Hugs, Darnell
Such a pretty design and great colors, love the sentiment. Thanks for joining us over at ATCAS.
Super marmoriert! Hat sich Dein Mann nicht beschwert, dass Du ihm nun den Rasierschaum klaust? Ich finde das Ergebnis wunderschon, aber mir ist die Sauerei zu viel.....
Your marbling looks like a dress flamenco dancer in the dance. I love this dynamics on your card.
