happy mother's day for virginia's view, penny black saturday, tuesday throwdown

hello friends,

just wanted to pop in and let you know that i am still alive!
the operation on my thumb went well but the full recovery will be long (12 weeks)!
2 down, 10 to go!
can't do anything yet with my left hand (typing this with one finger that's why i admire your gorgeous cards without commenting on them and don't bother with capital letters here, sorry)
no stamping, boohoo!
thank you so much for all the well wishes, they cheer me up tremendously!

i have a card to show you that i made before my accident.
that beautiful, delicate stamp is rather large so instead of cutting a part off i made a 5x7 card.
colored it with colored pencils and sponged some blue around it.

Glad the op went well - I didn't realise that you had injured your hand. Poor thing! I hope the next 10 weeks fly by and you are soon back to full crafting health. This is a beautiful card - love the fresh colours and that pretty flower stamp :)

I am sorry that your left hand is out of commission at the moment Susanne! Hope the recovery will go smoothly And yes, it's long, but do not rush to do things (like stamping...I know, that must be super hard!) and take the time to let it heal. I adore the composition and delightful colors that you chose! I love that you let a few flowers show through the green card stock. Good thing that you made this before the surgery. Hugs right back to you! So glad that you join the fun over Virginia’s View “Layers and Dimensions” Challenge!

Glad to hear your surgery went well! Don't worry about the caps! :) This is such a lovely design. I really like the way you cut out some of the flowers and overlapped them.

Susanne...I'm so THRILLED that your operation went smoothly and you're on the mend! Ten more weeks of recovery...well, time will pass swiftly! i've decided that the remainder of my note will be done with my right hand only, so i can better appreciate your one-handed typing. it's hard...yikes...exclamation mark. your card is beautiful...such a pretty flower and the butterfly...the perfect added touch. wishing you a marvelous happy mother's day; hope you're being spoiling and pampered to the nth degree. missing you, but you do whatever is necessary to ensure full healing. we'll all be here when you return, in fine fettle, i'm sure.
hugs and love,
~c...i did a one-handed caps lock to get my squiggle...

Delighted your op went well, Susanne ... and that you're on the mend, albeit a slow one ... just think of all that stamping creativity you're saving up for when you're fully recovered! Gorgeous card ... I adore that PB bloom ... and it's fabulous paired with the delicate butterfly! Anita :)
