Twofer Card Challenge #2

We were blown away by your enthusiastic response of the first Twofer Card Challenge and hope this month's prompt will inspire you even more! Here it is...

I tried to see if I could use the little stamps that come in stamp sets and are often neglected and make them the stars of my cards. I used the same size little heart in the Hero Arts "Prayers" set (see below) to make the four-leaf clovers on the first card and the background behind the letters on the second card.

Stamps: Hero Arts (hearts), Uniko (sentiment)
Dies: My Favorite Thing (mini scalloped rectangles)
Other: butterfly (punch), hand drawn (stems, ladybug, and grass)

The first card has a layered look and even uses some patterned paper.  I created a little scene featuring four-leaf clovers, a hand drawn ladybug (covered in glossy accent and a butterfly punched out from a scrap that was sprayed with shimmery blue. The panel is layered on a red panel and mounted with fun foam on a die cut layer of polka dotted paper.

Stamps: Hero Arts (hearts and sentiment - from the prayer set)
Dies: Essentials by Ellen (hinged alphabet), Sweet 'n' Sassy (red heart), My Favorite Things (dotted chevron)

The second card is more CAS with lots of white space. I die cut the new-to-me hinged letters from Ellen Hutson (so, so cool) and the dotted chevron border, stamped the hearts in red and purple on the card underneath, and attached the panel to the card. Stamped the sentiment on a heart die cut from red card stock and sprinkled more hearts in three different sizes around it (the purple one above the big red heart is the same one I used to make the background behind the letters and the four-leaf clovers). I put Stickles on the little purple heart and Glossy Accents on the small red one to add a little interest.

I really hope that I have inspired you to play along this month and can't wait to see the different designs you create using a heart stamp or die! Remember to take one picture of both cards. And now hop over to the Twofer Card Challenge to see the spectacular designs that my team mates came up with!

I am going to enter my second card to the
STAMPloration February Challenge "Paint it Red"

and to the
AAA Cards #108 "All You Need Is Love"
(Isn't that frog the cutest ever?)

ETA: I was encouraged on Instagram to enter the second card at the
Calling All Sistahs #10
Happy to do that! A challenge with an important mission!

Be well and keep in touch!

Those little four leafed clovers are adorable, Susanne ... such a sweet spring scene ... beautifully detailed with the cute ladybird and delicate butterfly! The hinged lettering is brilliant and so deliciously CAS ... love how you've allowed some of the crowd of sweet hearts behind them to tumble out ... so clever ... and fun! Hugs, Anita :)

Hearts into four-leaf clovers...what a fantastic idea, Susanne!! They just pop against the red panel and the sweet polkie dotted, scalloped edge panel. Such a great idea to draw your own ladybug, too!! Love this happy card! I've been wondering about those hinged dies...and you've showcased them perfectly here. Putting your tiny hearts behind the letters, makes them really pop. The dotted chevron anchors your whole card perfectly too. Two amazing cards - love them!! Sending hugs. Bev

These designs get A+ in terms of inspiration for me and I'm sure lots of others who have a million of little tiny stamps that come with our sets and then are neglected! Thank you!! Creating that sweet 4-leaf clover card from the wee hearts is pure genius!! And, oh my, I think I have to get myself some hinged dies now! I think stamping those little hearts behind the word "love" is fantastic and I love that you've used the wee hearts for schparkly embellies, too!! Two stunning designs, my friend!! Hugs, Darnell

Oh my gosh ... your designs are so clever turning the small heart into four leaf clover. LOVE it! And that little lady bug is ADORABLE!! Fantastic design with your heart stamped background through the hinged love apertures. I think I have to buy those hinged letters!! You've enabled me again, Susanne! :) Two amazing designs that are so completely different. Great work! xx

Sehr süß… alle beide Karten! Die zu klappenden Buchstaben habe ich schon mal bei Elisabeth bewundert, die geben einen tollen Effekt.
Und mit den vielen kleinen Herzchen dahinter… ganz toll!

You've aced this heart challenge. Love the 4-leaf clover hearts..clever idea. This card is just bright as sunshine with all that color. Loving #2 with the standout sentiment, and again, clever to tuck in the little hearts again behind the letters as you have done. And still had 2 separate cards for 2 separate occasions. Loving both of these. TFS & Hugs.

My first thought when I saw hearts was a four leaf clover! I love your teeny little ones to make flowers. That is so cute. Adding them inside letters for the second card is just so clever. Great cards.

Love both of these cards Susanne! The lucky clovers are perfect using the hearts, love that! Love your little hand drawn ladybug too, so sweet and perfect. Your second card is so clever as well, love that you used the same hearts to stamp underneath the letters-love that! Then love them sprinkled around your sentiment. Hugs, Brenda

These are both fabulous, Susanne! I love the cute 4 leave clovers and the heart confetti behind the letters on your second card is just so clever. What a great way to use that little stamp. Thanks for the twofer inspiration :)

The little hearts make fabulous four leaf clover flowers Susanne, and so pretty against the yellow polka dot paper, and the hinged sentiment with the blue and red hearts behind the letters, and then more of the sweet hearts scattered about, and adore that chevron patterned die cut border which finishes the second so perfectly. x

How fun that you used the hearts to make such lovely shamrocks. And, I love the other use of the hearts as they are shown behind the letters. Also I like how the others are used outside the sentiment area.

Susanne - Oh, my! I was not able to find the same stamp you used for both cards when I saw them in the Twofer challenge blog. I came to this page and read your explanation and finally saw the tiny hearts! What a clever way you came up with! Making a shamrock with 4 hearts!
I also love the heart patterned paper you created. It's delightful to see it peeking from behind the hinged letters. So cool! Hideko xx

Bon weekend ! Bises xx
