Purple Best Wishes

It's a very busy time of the year - I am sure you all agree. For me that means very little time to play and blog, don't know how you all do it... Maybe you are better organized than I am...

Amidst all the gorgeous holiday cards in blog land I dare to show you a birthday card!

Stamps: Winnie & Walter (background), Avery Elle (sentiment)
Dies: My Favorite Things (flowers and leaves)

Clear embossed the background on watercolor paper and watercolored it. Die cut the flowers, the purple one is watercolored, the smaller one is cut from a scrap of shimmery vellum. Stamped the sentiment on a strip of vellum.

Sending this to

CAS Watercolor December Challenge

Just realized it would work also for

CAS Mix Up December Challenge
I used heat embossing, watercoloring, and die cutting

Be well and keep in touch!

Beautiful shades of purple and great geometric patterns, Susanne! The bright white thick frame is perfect for the purple center image. The sentiment vellum banner and the flower make the card look light too. Hideko :-)

Guten Morgen ;))

GORGEOUS! I can't remember the last time I used this faceted stamp (I have a die as well), and seeing you showcase it here has me antsy to bring it out! I'm saving your card for down the road (because 'someone' is still doing her Christmas projects...).

Liebe Susanne,

Gorgeous colors in this Pop-Op art piece! I love this look, but would have not known how to showcase it as splendidly as you did here. It's a lovely watercolor effect, and the vellum banner looks great, not hiding the fracture design. The dimensional flower is perfect as an embellie that adds, but doesn't take away from the great design of this card. (I'm not organized either, and feel like I'm about 3 days behind where I should be!) TFS & Merry Christmas. Best wishes for a wonderful 2018.
