Best Wishes in Green and Gold

Over at the CAS Watercolor Challenge the theme is "Silhouette" and it doesn't have to be a black one. So mine is gold with a green watercolor wash, sprinkled with salt, in the background. Instead of using gems, I die cut the top of the flower again, cut out some of the circles, "hammered" them with the end of a brush to give them some textures and glued them on.

Stamps: Hero Arts (sentiment)
Die: Memory Box (flower)

Oh Susanne! This is very cool. I love the gold silhouette against that gorgeous blueygreeny wash. Really pretty!! And hammering the ends was a brilliant idea...might just have to 'borrow' that for a future card. Love this. Bev

Your watercolour wash is absolutely gorgeous; a perfect canvas for your gold silhouette! I didn't realize that 'hammering' could achieve such impressive results *grin* Love this...and delighted that you shared it in the HLS CAS Challenge gallery! Oh...the embossing folder on the baby card is from Carta Bella/Echo Park. It's darling! Thank you, as always, for your visits to my place! Wish we could do so in real life!

Love the design of your card, Susanne. The colours of your watercolour wash are so pretty. And the salt adds some texture ... isn't it fun to play with??!! Love your gold silhouette flower. And what a great idea to use some of the petals as gems. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour! xx

Gorgeous watercolour wash with your added salt for additional texture, Susanne. Love your silhouette die cut wildflower and so clever to use your pounded die cut extra circles for embellishments. Will have to remember that little trick. TFS and joining us at CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix Up.
