I am back with a card I made for my sister. Don't know if she has received it yet but some of the challenges I made it for are closing soon!
My sister is an amazing knitter! She has knitted all kinds of complicated things for all kinds of different people. For Christmas she bought me some yarn (I got to choose) and helped me make a hat! Isn't she the sweetest?
So I thought these new-to-me stamps and dies would be perfect for her. Since the yarn I picked for my hat was grey and off-white I chose those colors for the card. Then, so it wouldn't look too blah, I added some blue accents.
Stamps: MFT (background on card), Impression Obsession (background on mittens), Winnie & Walter (sentiment)
Dies: MFT (mittens)
Challenges:
The Card Concept #46 (ETA: Winner!!)
Clean & Simple
Inspired by the knit mittens
Time Out #47 "Birthdays"
Without the twist
CAS on Sunday #74 "Winter"
Shopping Our Stash #234 "Something New"
Stamps and Dies are new!
Seize the Birthday
I think the card is pretty clean & simple but if the DT disagrees it's without topping
Your visit and comments make my day!
I have a wicked sore throat! Tomorrow the first thing I'll do is call the doc! Hope it's not strep...
Hugs,
Susanne

Adorable! Love the mittens! Thank you so much for playing along with the Card Concept challenge!
This is so cute! I love the stitching on the mittens! Hope you're feeling better soon.
Can't get over how realistic the knit on the mittens looks! Love your color combo. All the best for 2016 - especially health!
LG Gundi
How fab you are now knitting! And this card is perfect for your sister as she loves to knit. I really like the background knitting section of this and thanks for joining TO and TCC
So cute...these mittens look so cozy! Thank you for joining us at CAS On Sunday!
Sure hope your sore throat felt better today. What a sweet sister you are to design this especially for your knitter. The mitten look so very realistic (and the card is definitely not blah, even though it's a subtle color). Liked the way you tied in the Nordic design border stamping with those cozy mittens, and bet your Sis will just adore this card. Looks pretty CAS to me! TFS & Hugs. Stay warm.
So schoene Handschuhe - inzwischen koennen wir die hier auch gut brauchen.. Der Hintergrund passt auch super dazu!
My mother tried to teach me to knit...after a million attempts, she gave up! I so envy people who can knit! This is such a pretty card, and perfect for your sister! Those mittens with the stitching are so precious, and I love the bits of blue you've added. I'm sure she'll love this card!!! I know I do! Bev
They look great (and paper-knitted...) What a great personal BD-card! Thank you for taking the TIME OUT and join us!
I LOVE your card Susanne. What a great card for a knitter in the winter. Reminds me of a C card I made with a knitted jumper on there. http://hettiecraftcz.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/funkie-junkie-christmas-jumpers.html
Here if you want to look!!
Thanks for calling over.

Gleich 2x bei Card Concept gewonnen! Super - die Karten haben es verdient!
How gorgeous, Susanne ... those snuggly cosy mits are just delicious ... fabulous against that wonderful fair isle background stamping! Swooning at the colour combo ... grey and white with a pop of icy blue ... love it! Delighted to have you playing along with us at Time Out, my friend! Hugs, Anita :)
Gorgeous card, I love it! Jo x
Perfect card for your sister if she loves knitting, I hope you are feeling better soon, Cathy x
;))) so schön!
Ganz liebe Grüsse Elisabeth
How wonderful that your sister has shared her expertise with you; knitting a hat is impressive! I can do very basic knitting and did so, before this 'little' obsession took over! I should dedicate one evening a week to knitting, if only to make scarves. Your warm mittens card is perfect; the whispers of blue add a marvelous pop of colour! I know she loves this, as do I!

What a sweet card that must have really made your sister smile!
