Butterfly Challenge #4 / Our Beautiful World

Happy weekend everyone! Hope you all make time to do something enjoyable!

I have a card for the Butterfly Challenge #4  where Mrs. A. would like to see some yellow. It's another photo card...

And then I would also like to enter a photo for the first time at Our Beautiful World where the word is "Bloom". I came across this photo challenge blog thanks to Karen Walker of Random Reflections. I have only admired the different interpretations so far but this week I would like to enter a photo:

I just love the light that shines through this simple white tulip.

Thanks for visiting,
Susanne

SSS Wednesday (Pearls)

Hello there,

Just wanted to enter a card with pearls at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge before it closes! It's another photo card.

I used to have roses in my garden. They were pretty fussy and needed a lot of care. After a few years they all died (not all at once). The climate here is a bit too rough, they didn't get enough sun, and after I had kids I didn't pamper them as much, maybe... What's left are photographs...

Have a great week,
Susanne

Butterfly Challenge

Hello dear visitors,

There is a new challenge that gives those of us in snow covered areas glimpses of spring and summer: The Butterfly Challenge created by Mrs. A. For the first challenge she would like to see butterflies with flowers. I hope a photograph of a flower will be accepted because that is what I have today. For all the rules and beautiful inspirations click on the link. You still have six days to play in case you are inspired...

I used a Martha Stewart punch (probably my favorite one) for the greeting. Do you see the pearl in the star? The blue butterflies are cut out from a piece that I colored with metallic gelatos (oh, that means I can send it over to Pixie's Snippet's Playground, too).

And now I have the pleasure to welcome a new follower:
Not only does she create wonderful CAS cards and is the creator of the popular CAS-ology challenge but she is also a very talented photographer and regularly shares tips about how to take better photos over at the Sweet Stamp Shop! I feel very honored that she follows my little blog!

The welcoming quote for Melissa is by George Lois

Creativity can solve almost any problem.
The creative act, the defeat of habit by originality, overcomes everything.

Make the best of your day and know that you made mine by coming over to look and maybe even leave a comment...

Punches: Martha Stewart (Happy Birthday), All Night Media (butterfly corner), McGill (large butterly), Marvy (small butterfly)
Other: Faber Castell (Metallic Gel Sticks)

Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Wednesday Challenge

Hi there,

One of my hobbies is photography and before I stamped my cards I used photographs to make cards. I still like to do that but now I combine pictures with stamps and diecuts, etc. I recently bought this "happy" die (among other things) from Simon Says Stamp! and used it on my husband's birthday card. I know it is very simple but that's what he likes. I didn't choose this photo because it is so amazing but because it is the view from our campsite that we are lucky enough to get almost every summer and because it had lot of sky and worked well with the die. (Sorry, the picture of the card is not the best. It looks much better IRL.)

I would like to enter this in the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Wednesday Challenge where we should use something that is available at their store.

Have a great week with lots of time to create,

Susanne
