More ghosting and some Watercoloring

Check out my new signature at the end of the post that the amazing Loll created for me! The one that I made a few months ago caused a warning to pop up every time I wrote a new post, so sweet Loll offered to design a new one for me! I love it and hope you do, too!

Today I have two cards for you!

This past weekend I spent with my 7Cardologists friends (although one was missing) in the mountains at our annual Stamp Camp. I taught them the Ghosting technique which is the current theme at the CAS Mix Up Challenge. We all used different stencils and colors and had so much fun. I made this card from my background.

Stamps: Happy Little Stampers (sentiment)
Dies: Impression Obsession (tree)
Other: Tree stencil (TCW), Distress Inks

Challenges (click on the links for more information and lots of inspiration):

CAS Mix Up October Challenge "Ghosting"
plus Stamping and Die cutting
*This card was a runner up!*

On my second card I did some watercoloring with Distress Inks. I don't own Copics and use a lot of colored pencils when I am stamping with my friends but what I really love is the look of watercoloring.

Stamps: Winnie & Walter (sentiment)
Dies: Impression Obsession
Other: Distress Inks, copper embossing powder from PSX (that I've had for more than 20 years!!!)

The word "autumn" is embossed in copper. Hard to see in the picture but very pretty in real life. Will take a picture tomorrow and post it on instagram (button on the right sidebar).

Sending this card to the following challenges:

Both CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolor Challenges are having an Design Team call and since I really like that style and enjoy playing in these challenges I am being brave and throwing my hat into the ring. Wish me luck...

Phew, that was a longish post! Thanks for sticking with me 'til the end!

Be well,

Two beautiful cards Susanne!! Love the ghosting card ... such pretty colours and it looks like the trees are in the background. Very cool!

And your autumn birthday card is so pretty with the copper embossing. Love the colours of the leaves with the splatters over your watercoloured background. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour. xx

Both fabulous creations Susanne! Great ghosting technique on the first (very atmospheric) and I love the bright feel of the second! Thank you for your kind words on my blog for myself and Mum, it was greatly appreciated! I'm afraid I must dash, got to sort out some more things that my poor mother had got into a muddle because of the Sepsis! Have a wonderful week! Hazel xx

Your ghosted trees are fabulous, Susanne ... there's a wonderful misty, ethereal sense about them ... so atmospheric! Love how the leaves on your second card are floating down the watercolouring ... I just want to reach out and pick one up! How fun to spend time playing cards with friends ... sounds as though you had a fab time! Cool new signature ... and good luck with the DT calls ... they'd be lucky to have you! Hugs, Anita :)

I love your new signature! That Loll is a pro and such a generous lovely woman! I am glad you got away with your stamping friends for your annual weekend. I wish I had been there! You did a brilliant job with the ghosting technique on your first card and your watercoloring on your second card! I wish our end-of-year holidays weren't all mushed together and we had more time for the beautiful colors of this time of year. The DTs will be clamoring to get you if they know what's good for them, but good luck all the same!! Hugs, Darnell

Your new signature is outstanding; how sweet of Loll to design that for you! I'm thinking of calling on her creativity to rejuvenate my blog, too. Just need to find time! Your stamping retreat sounds like such fun! Your ghosting card is dreamy-artsty: so pretty! Your second: stunning with the autumn palette! You would be such an asset to both of these challenges; fingers crossed that we'll see you as a DT in the very near future!
Hugs~c

Mit der Ghosting Technik muesste man eigentlich eine Halloween Karte produzieren ;) aber diese ist Dir auch gut gelungen!
