Four Hugging Mice Sending Warm Fuzzies

Many months ago the fabulous Elisabeth from "auf's papier gebracht" suggested that we make cards using the same stamp and post them at the same time. Now if you don't know Elisabeth you should definitely visit her blog, she has this unique, loose style, I would call it CAS Free Style maybe? I once told her that I hope to create like her when I am all grown up, hehe!
Anyway, she picked the stamp set and the stamp. Her choice surprised my quite a bit as I didn't think that it was her style. So I can't wait to see what she came up with.

My first thought was to color with my polychromos on kraft and while I was thinking about a layout I had another idea and that's why I made two cards.

Stamps: Penny Black (Mice), Hero Arts (sentiment)
Dies: Nestabilities (circle), SSS (hearts)
Other: We 'R' Memory Keepers (embossing folder), patterned paper from my stash

The hearts on both cards are covered with Wink of Stella, the one on the second card is also coated with glossy accent. I might add some on the first card, too...

Another Graduation Card and More Splatters

Yes, I splattered some more! It seems like I can't stop!
I needed another graduation card for a friend who got her Master's degree while being a single parent to two young kids and working! In my eyes she totally rocks, that's why I picked this sentiment.

Stamps: Winnie & Walter (sentiment), Inkadinkado (cap)

The splatters are dark green not black as they appear on the screen...

So you know where this is going, right...?

CAS Mix Up May Challenge "Splattering"
I also used heat embossing, water coloring, die cutting, washi

Reminder for Time Out Challenge #83

Hello there,

Just popping in to remind you that you still have time to CASE Hannelie's fantastic card for the Time Out Challenge #83
Here it is again:

Stamps: Altenew (flower, leaves), Hero Arts (background), STAMPlorations (sentiment)
Die: Nestabilities (circle)
Other: Brushos

As you can see I stuck with the same color scheme but used it on the flower this time (stamped on the same Brusho panel). I also used a negative circular die cut and lots of black and white. I am a bit disappointed with myself that both times I didn't use any splatters considering how much I like them! On this card I sprinkled a few gems around to imitate the splatters.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

CAS Watercolor May Challenge "Flowers"
ETA: This card won "Outstanding Design"!

STAMlorations May CAS Challenge

I had so much fun CASEing Hannelie's card, now it's your turn! I hope to see your creation in the gallery! You have until May 25th to enter and you could win a $15 voucher to Happy Little Stampers! For more details go to Time Out Challenges.
Thank you very much Nonni and the DT for inviting me to guest design!

It's Graduation Season!

I have two cards to show you today but before I do that let me give a warm welcome to two new followers:
Kara Lynne
and Hannelie

You might know and already follow these inspiring card artists but if not, please take the time to meander through their blogs and be amazed!

Graduation season is upon us in these parts of the world and I have a niece and a nephew graduating from college this year. The colors for both colleges are blue (slightly different shades) even though they go to very different schools. Because of the color scheme and because I used stars (I'll take any excuse to use stars, hehe) on both of them they look pretty similar.
First the one for my nephew which is slightly more CAS:

Stamps: My Favorite Things (sentiment strip)
Dies: My Favorite Things (graduation cap), WPlus9 (stars), SSS (smallest star)

And this is the one for my niece:

Stamps: Inkadinkado (numbers)
Dies: My Favorite Things (Congratulations, cap), WPlus9 (stars), SSS (smallest star)
Other: Sizzix (star embossing folder)

Challenges (click on the links for more information and lots of inspiration from the DTs and the galleries):

CASOLOGY week 248 "Commencement"

The Male Room Challenge #60 "Stars"

CAS Mix Up May Challenge "Splattering"

Hope you find time to create and have fun!

Guest Designing for Time Out Challenge #83

Hello crafty friends,

Today I have the honor to guest design for the Time Out Challenge #83 because they picked this card of mine as the winner.

For Challenge #83 we are to CASE the following fabulous card of "Desert Diva" Hannelie
I am sure you already know her because she is on several Design Teams but if you happen to be new to the stamping world please check out her blog. I promise you won't regret it but come back inspired! Here is her card for this challenge:

Isn't it gorgeous? As you will soon see I was inspired by the colors, the negative die cut, the black and white image, the white space, as well as the digital sentiment.

Stamps: JudiKins (crane), Desert Diva (digital sentiment)
Dies: SSS (little heart)
Other: Martha Stewarts (punch), Brushos

Now if you are one of the three people who doesn't know Hannelie I would like to tell you that she loves to create and use her own digital sentiments which she generously makes available for free on her blog. Over the years I have been following her I have downloaded several of her sentiments but have to admit that I usually forget to use my digital stamps. This challenge inspired me to use one of her digital sentiments. I also used her color scheme (one of my favorites), a black and white image, and instead of a negative die cut I dug out one of the magnetic punches from Martha Stewart (let me know in the comments if you remember them or even still have them) which I have never used but thought it was perfect for this challenge. I am so happy that I finally created something with it. It makes me feel much better about buying it...

And now hop on over to the Time Out Challenge to check out what the amazing Design Team created and then get creating! Maybe you will be the winner of the $15 gift certificate to Happy Little Stamper, our generous sponsor for this challenge.

ETA: Gundi of "papierelle" fame has pointed out that this card would work for her challenge so I am entering it there!
